heatwave

the only relief is here ...

The weather is unbearable. It’s too hot to work, to sleep, to think … to do anything really. I have twelve pieces of jewellery ready to be oxidised and photographed but the shed (where I work) is like a sauna at the moment. Hopefully it will cool down soon so I can show you what I’ve been making.

I totally hear you!! It's horrid up here in brissy...but not as bad as in some areas...but it's still too hot to play with metal :( Can't wait till it's over!

Stunning photos, Michele! I hope the weather cools down soon...I can't wait to see what you've been creating :-)

It's been unbearably hot here in Melbourne too...three days of 40 degrees has left me feeling tired and lethargic :-{ It's hard to pick up the torch in this heat!

I'm at least glad you're not being directly affected by all the flooding and the latest cyclone, Michele! (My grandparents live in Hervey Bay, QLD, so waiting to hear from Mum whether they had to evacuate or not.)

Cannot wait to see your new collection...and hopefully add to mine!! =)

Oh Ash that is so scary, I hope your grandparents are safe and well. xxx

Thanks, Michele. Just spoke to Mum and my grandparents were barely touched by the cyclone, so good news all round!

Hope things are cooling off for you. We actually got above freezing today...possibly some snow flurries later on. (Should I send some your way?!!)

Yes! Snow flurries are more than welcome!! It was 42 degrees today :(
The paper had a photo of some kids at the park trying to fry an egg on a metal slide/slippery dip :)

Oh, TOO funny! (Gotta love kids and their ability to make the best of ANY situation! While watching newscasts of the pounding the east coast is getting at the moment, it always amuses me watching the kids in the background, hooting and hollering, dragging their sleds and tires around, just glad for yet another day off school!)

Sorry you're suffering so much with the heat. I love the cold, so would be miserable right along with you. Mum is thinking about moving back to Oz, so I told her I will ONLY visit her in the winter!! (Actually, she might even be passing by your way, to visit the old haunts.)
